WHAT'S MOST IMPORTANT?

Why, In the face of the fuel shortage and its impact on the United States, are we not drilling off shore, in Alaska, and other locations to increase our supply of oil?
I assume it’s the environmentalists who keep us from it, a relatively small, well financed lobbying group, able to make life tougher for the lower and middle class workers who face ever rising food and fuel prices. These well-off fat cats can worry about the snail darter, the caribou and believe they occupy the moral high ground in societal concerns while their less fortunate brethren struggle to make ends meet.

You must know you sound much like my husband - not sure if this is a good thing or not (as we have learned to keep the politics over there)- LOL! However, interesting nonetheless. You seem to be a very interesting, with much depth, type of person. I can relate to your views on the oil situation and I do believe it has something to do with the environmentalists as to where we are to get our oil and why we are restricted on our native soil. Not sure I agree - but not sure I don't at this point. I have read all your blogs thus far and just wanted you to know you had a fan!

Thanks, Michelle, I appreciate your comments. I assume you're the Michelle who is Kelly's friend?
Im an old guy who is probably out of touch with the current scene, but if I could wait long enough I think many would come around to my way of thinking.

Yes, that's my friend Michelle! I have finally converted her to blogging, I think when she heard you were doing a blog that surely she could find time too! She quilts WAY more than I do, so I can't wait to see some of her quilt pictures. She has 5 kids so stays really busy.
